Refund Policy

1. Scope and Controlling Terms
This public marketing website does not process payments. For new Edgelace purchases processed through Paddle, Paddle is the authorized reseller, Merchant of Record, and legal seller. Paddle administers payment collection, applicable transaction taxes, cancellation support, refunds, and payment disputes under the terms presented at checkout. Existing purchases retain the actual seller, price, and buyer terms that applied when they were made; a change of provider for new purchases does not transfer an earlier transaction.
Paddle's Refund Policy and Buyer Terms applicable at the time of the transaction govern Paddle transaction-level refund and withdrawal eligibility. If this Edgelace policy, the applicable seller's terms, or law provide different rights, the broadest non-waivable or expressly granted right applies. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights.
2. Refund Eligibility
Under Paddle's Refund Policy, transactions are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable except where required by law or broader rights are expressly provided. Paddle may consider a discretionary refund request submitted within 14 days after a transaction. Submission within that period does not guarantee approval; Paddle may approve a full or partial refund or decline the request.
For separately purchased AI reports processed through Paddle, refund eligibility and request periods are governed by Paddle's Refund Policy and Buyer Terms applicable at the time of purchase. You may ask Edgelace to submit a refund request to Paddle, or contact Paddle directly. Paddle makes the final decision on discretionary refunds. Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund. Earlier purchases retain the refund policy and any broader promises that applied when they were made. Any remaining no-charge replacement run for a failed run remains available as described below, subject to the same report kind, authorized scope, and renewed authorization. The original run plus up to two replacement executions is the service limit. Nothing in this policy ends any longer withdrawal, refund, defect, or other right under Paddle's buyer terms, the original seller's terms, an express Edgelace promise, or applicable law.
Before charging for a new report, Edgelace will check whether an authorized run can start and will recheck before execution. If a paid report cannot safely start or fails without a usable report, contact support@edgelace.com. We will offer a no-charge replacement run for the same report kind and authorized scope, subject to renewed authorization. You may request an eligible refund instead without first accepting a replacement or waiting for a service deadline. A refund request is not a completed refund.
For an existing Business prepaid report unit bought under earlier terms, the original seller, price, and unused-unit remedy remain in effect. Where the purchase permits it, the primary owner may request a refund of an eligible unused unit through account billing. A unit already used to start execution is not unused. New report purchases will be tied to a specific authorized report scope rather than sold for an unspecified future target.
For Paddle sales, a requested refund may initially be pending approval and later be approved or rejected. A $120 or $350 report price does not guarantee automatic approval or immediate funds. Paddle's actual review also depends on the requested refund amount and currency equivalent, account verification and balance, and the original payment method. Refunds may be denied where there is evidence of fraud or refund abuse; this does not restrict rights concerning a materially defective, misdescribed, or unfit product under applicable law.
3. Statutory Withdrawal Rights
Mandatory withdrawal and refund periods vary by buyer location and override narrower contractual terms. The version of Paddle's Refund Policy applicable at the time of the transaction contains the authoritative country-specific rules for that Paddle purchase. As of this policy's Last Updated date, those rules include:
- Eligible consumers in the European Union, European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom generally receive a 14-day withdrawal period for a qualifying one-off purchase or first subscription payment. A new period begins after a free trial ends; United Kingdom consumers with annual subscriptions also receive a new 14-day period when the annual subscription renews.
- Eligible consumers in Turkey and Israel generally receive a 14-day period.
- Eligible consumers in South Korea, Brazil, China, and Canada generally receive a 7-day period.
- Eligible consumers in Singapore generally receive a 5-day period.
A statutory withdrawal right is lost only when all applicable legal conditions are satisfied, including any required prior express consent, acknowledgment and confirmation, and full performance where required. Edgelace does not use an assessment reservation, report generation, or service access by itself to override a mandatory right.
4. Starter Seven-Day Trial
Starter is the only Personal plan with a planned free trial. The trial lasts seven days, requires a valid payment method, may be used only once per Edgelace billing account, and includes deterministic baseline reviews only. AI-assisted allowances are not available during the trial. Unless the subscription is canceled before the trial ends, Paddle will charge the Starter monthly or annual price selected at checkout for a Paddle subscription.
Developer and Pro do not include a trial and are charged when checkout is successfully completed. Trial conversion does not eliminate a statutory withdrawal or refund right, including a new post-trial withdrawal period where Paddle's Refund Policy or applicable law provides one.
5. Subscription Cancellation
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. A Paddle subscription may be canceled through the management link in Paddle's transaction email, the available account billing page, or Paddle Buyer Support.
Cancellation ordinarily takes effect at the end of the current billing period and prevents future subscription charges. Cancellation is separate from a refund and does not automatically refund unused time unless Paddle's Refund Policy, an express Edgelace promise, or applicable law requires otherwise. Earlier purchases remain under their original seller's cancellation terms.
6. Technical or Product Defects
If a persistent technical issue or material defect prevents access to the Edgelace capabilities described at purchase, contact Edgelace first at support@edgelace.com so we can investigate and attempt to resolve it. If the issue remains unresolved, you may contact Paddle Buyer Support for a Paddle transaction; Paddle administers a refund required by applicable consumer law or its transaction terms.
If Edgelace ends a paid subscription for convenience without customer breach, Edgelace will work with Paddle for a Paddle purchase, or with the original seller for an earlier purchase, to provide the remedy required by applicable law and the controlling transaction terms.
7. How to Request a Refund
For a product failure, billing concern, refund, or cancellation question, contact support@edgelace.com first so Edgelace can investigate and request an eligible refund from Paddle for a Paddle purchase. You may also use the receipt or available account billing page, or contact Paddle Buyer Support directly for a Paddle transaction. You do not have to contact Edgelace before exercising a statutory withdrawal or other lawful right.
Paddle's transaction records are used to verify a Paddle request and its timing but do not override mandatory rights. For an earlier non-Paddle purchase, use the seller and support details on that receipt. Do not send card numbers, passwords, target credentials, source code, evidence, or report contents in a support request.
8. Refund Processing and Access
When Paddle approves a refund, it returns funds to the original payment method where possible and processes the refund within 14 days after approval; the buyer's bank or payment provider may take longer to post the funds. For eligible EU withdrawals under Paddle's withdrawal procedure, Paddle refunds within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal request. Other eligible statutory withdrawals follow their applicable timing rules. A pending request is not an approved or completed refund.
Access associated with a refunded transaction ends in accordance with the applicable seller's terms. Edgelace may revoke unused allowances and paid access associated with that transaction while preserving records needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
9. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Buyers are encouraged to contact Edgelace first about a product or billing problem so we can investigate and help resolve it. Paddle Buyer Support remains available directly for Paddle purchases. You may exercise your lawful right to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first. Access associated with a disputed transaction may be suspended while it is reviewed. Nothing in this policy limits lawful card-network, payment-provider, or consumer-protection rights.
10. Contact
